Mikey

Mikey and Lizzard first met in the fall of 2002. Lizzard was all settled in Portland and working full-time, but she was lonely living all by herself. So, on that fateful Friday, she took a long lunch with a co-worker and went to the Oregon Humane Society. When her eyes met Mikey's, it was love at first sight. He came and leaned sideways against the fence to maximize the number of pats Lizzard could give him. After playing for a few minutes together, Lizzard decided to adopt him.

Since then, they've shared many good and happy times. They convinced Fox to join their family and moved to a house with a back yard - all for Mikey!

Mikey's favorite pastimes include basking in the sun, going for walks, riding in the car, eating popcorn and watching the world go by through the window.

Mikey passed away on March 21, 2017, at the age of 16. His ashes were spread on the Oregon Coast because that was one of his favorite places.
